Mutliple air clients apps with one java server 1 Year, 7 Months ago

we are trying to build a client/server using merapi system where the server is java and client is air.
The major aspect that looks not supported by merapi is the handling of multiple air clients accessing the same java server.
The optimal scenario for us would be that the bridge could have the support for the handling of such multiple clients/server sessions.
If I understand this is not supported at the moment but I may have missed some specific usage of the APIs.
If not supported, I think it would be quite an useful feature

If you don't mind me asking, what would the different AIR clients do? Are they completely separate applications with different purposes that need to be able to access some common repository through Merapi, or are they several instances of the same application, or? I'm just not quite following why you would need to access a single instance of a Java application from several different AIR application instances on the same computer? Or are the clients running on different computers? But then wouldn't a basic web server and a amf gateway be better suited for the task?
Just trying to get an idea of the use cases for this.

Clients are clearly doing different things but relying on the same model "maintained" and managed by the java server in a quite standard client-server scenario.
Furthermore there is need to start multiple instances of clients (like we do everyday with our pc/laptop applications we use to work with) with all clients being in synch with the model and changes in the model (due to a client action) notified to all clients.
If merapi supported such capability, the framework would be perfect for light local client-server needs without deploying heavier solutions (e.g. air+bladeds+java)

That's a great idea... hit me up offline and we can chat about how we might go about getting this implemented.
